Denmark

This low, flat Scandinavian country is almost entirely surrounded by the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. It is the oldest monarchy in Western Europe with a history of cheesemaking dating back to the 11th century. Farmers have long benefitted from Denmark’s gently rolling meadowlands and pastures, and a wide range of famous cheeses are produced as a result.
