Leerdammer® is made from pasteurized cow's milk and has a slightly elastic, semi-hard texture and a creamy white flesh that is dotted with numerous large eyes. It is a delectable cross between traditional Dutch Gouda and Emmental cheeses with a sweet, nutty, mild taste that becomes more pronounced with age. Leerdammer® is one of the best selling cheeses in Europe thanks largely to its versatility and the wide appeal of its savory flavor.
