Aged Gouda

Aged Gouda—or "How-da" as it’s pronounced in Holland—has a delightfully distinctive dichotomy of flavor; its pleasantly salty and nutty tastes are coupled with a strong, sweet, butterscotch-like finish.

This rich, full-flavored cheese is deep caramel in color with a hard texture that is slightly flaky. It is best eaten by itself allowing the eater to fully experience the cheese’s well-rounded flavors. Aged Gouda also pairs nicely with rich Cabernet Sauvignons as they’re strong enough to match the cheese’s complexity.
