USDA Certified OrganicUSDA Organic(USDA Certified Organic)

USDA Certified Organic indicates that a particular food has been produced through approved methods. These standards must be verified by a USDA-accredited certifying agent before products can be labeled USDA organic.

Organic products have strict production and labeling requirements. Organic products must be produced without excluded methods (e.g., genetic engineering), ionizing radiation or sewage sludge; produced per the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances; and be overseen by a USDA National Organic Program-authorized certifying agent, following all USDA organic regulations.
