Brown Sugar Bacon with Gorgonzola Dipping Sauce
Makes 4 servings.
- 8 pc. smoked bacon
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 8 oz. Salemville® Amish Gorgonzola Cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. plain yogurt
Preheat oven to 350° F. Rub raw bacon with brown sugar, pressing so that sugar adheres to both sides. Place coated bacon on a non-stick baking pan covered with parchment paper and place in oven until bacon looks caramelized and crisp, about 15 to 20 minutes. (This may take a bit longer depending on your oven.) Remove from oven and set aside to cool. Do not touch while hot as the caramelized sugar may burn you.
To Make Dipping Sauce:
While bacon is cooling, combine all ingredients until well incorporated.
Serve when bacon is fully cooled. Keep Dipping Sauce cold until ready to serve.
