Cinnamon Waffle Grilled Cheese with Ham & Pear
Makes 1 Sandwich.
- 1 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 2 slices cinnamon swirl bread
- Great Midwest® Apple Cinnamon Cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1/4 pear, thinly sliced
- Deli ham, thinly sliced
- Maple syrup
- Powder sugar
Preheat waffle iron.
Butter both slices of bread on one side. Top one, buttered side down, with cheese, pear and ham and drizzle with maple syrup. Place remaining slice of bread on top, buttered side out. Seal by pressing with a fork all around the sandwich and place in preheated waffle iron. Cook until golden brown.
Remove from heat and plate. Drizzle with maple syrup and top with powdered sugar.
