Fried Manchego Cheese

Makes 3 servings.


  • 8 oz El Cortijo® Manchego, cut into triangles
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bunch of basil, finely chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Cherry tomatoes (optional)
  • Lettuce (optional)
  • Jam (optional)


Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.

Dip the El Cortijo® Manchego triangles into a beaten egg mixture with basil. Then dip into the breadcrumbles. Fry the triangles into the oil, turning after 2-3 minutes. It will be finished when the triangles are golden brown.

Place the fried Manchego on a place with lettuce and cherry tomatoes. Serve with your favorite jam for dipping.
