Fontinella®

A unique Stella® recipe, Fontinella® cheese is delicately sweet and creamy smooth, with just a hint of sharpness. It melts beautifully in sauces and casseroles, and is superb in grilled sandwiches. In fact, the name comes from the Italian word "fondere", which means melt.

This versatile semi-hard cheese will enhance most any recipe. In fact, many professional chefs use Fontinella® cheese as a zesty, change-of-pace flavor on pizza. It works nicely in a variety of Italian-style dishes too: toss tortellini with diced Fontinella® cheese, vinaigrette and spring vegetables; broil sliced Fontinella® cheese on focaccia bread; or serve ravioli topped with grated Fontinella® cheese. It can also be served simply with fruit and crackers.
